Lohans Lawyer Claims She Cant Afford Therapy!

This is rich, or maybe it isn’t. Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer said that the actress (is she?) doesn’t have the money to pay for the private therapy sessions she is being court ordered to attend. To be clear, the girl who shows up in court with a pair of sunglasses worth more than the average person’s rent ($995) can’t pony up the dough for a shrink? Oh, and let’s not leave out her shoes, which supposedly retail for over $1,000. If you’re keeping score, those two items together could get her at least eight hours at $250 an hour, which would be a pretty damn expensive hourly rate. For this one, the diva devil is in the details. It turns out that she is seeking to attend private sessions because the less expensive group sessions would most certainly be ruined by fat guys with cameras (also known as the paparazzi). Either way, the judge (who I am liking this week) decided that the excuse was not going to fly, saying: “If she doesn’t have the means, she’s got to find someone to help her out…” Sure, sure, Lindsay can just hit up one of the A-listers that she hangs out with. The new CW TV series Ringer, which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and will debut this Fall, was well-represented this year at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con … which means we got a lot of goodies to enjoy. First we got a couple of amazing promo posters, then we got a new trailer for the show … [...]

David and I were able to see the new musical Tales Of The City currently in production here in San Francisco, CA and despite not having read any reviews about the show we were very excited to see the show. I’m a HUGE fan of the original PBS miniseries Tales Of The City and hold the characters created by Armistead Maupin very near and dear to my heart. I was hoping to love the show … and thankfully, that’s exactly what I did :D

Because the original books and miniseries are so well done and beloved by fans, there was concern that the musical may not measure up. For the most part, Tales Of The City the musical really holds on to the original spirit of the stories and presents the characters in a very respectful way. The music, written by Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters, is actually quite good. Some of the songs could use a bit more work but for the most part, they do compliment the story very well. There is a song for the Michael Mouse Tolliver character where he reads (sings) a coming out letter to his mother … it’s heartbreakingly touching … it actually made me cry. The show has so much heart and is really fun. The staging is very inventive. If you are familiar with the way 28 Barbary Lane looks in the miniseries, you will be pleasantly surprised how much the stage version of the house comes to life with the same look and feel. The acting was superb … really. I loved every single actor on that stage. I hope this show makes it to Broadway … I think it might do very well. I believe Tales Of The City is one of the most charming stories out there … and this new musical is a charming NEW way to experience the drama and fun at 28 Barbary Lane. The show is being performed until July 31 so those of you here in SF have a few more days to see it … DO NOT miss it, I beg of you. This show should be experience in the city it is set in. You won’t be sorry, I’m sure of it.

Yesterday turned out to be a non run day for me, which worked out well because it was a cold, rainy and miserable day. Last weekend, the weather people predicted that it would be cold, rainy and dreary for the LA Marathon. Instead, we enjoyed a beautiful day. The cold, dreary rain came exactly one week later … which was just fine by me. I managed to get my laundry done and settled in to watch some TV. It was basically a perfect Sunday.

I watched a lot of TV yesterday, something I haven’t had much time for lately so it was nice to catch up. But I’m getting really close to my first 5K race and I need to make sure I focus on getting ready for the race. I’m moving to a strict 2 week plan that will take me right up to race day on April 7 so … it’s on. I’m going to the gym today to get in my workout and sweat session then tonight, I have a bunch of really UNFUN chores to handle. Ugh. But, it’s Monday … I guess. Happy New Week, all!

Former cop Fernando Flores dropped a lawsuit on Britney Spears's lap last year, one in which has prompted Brit to strike back time and time again.

This time, however, Flores has made charges and allegations that are incredibly specific and demeaning, including:

"Defendant Spears was mentally unstable, and personally obnoxious and demanding, requiring her staff on various occasions and for no rationally discernable reasons to address her as "Jennifer" or "Queen Bee," on other occasions, Defendant Spears would cut her hair in an erratic fashion, leaving uneven and bald spots on her head."

"Spears made repeated unwanted sexual advances to Plaintiff, summoning (him) to her room at her residence for no other purpose or reason than to expose her naked or near naked body to Plaintiff," according to the suit.

But Flores insists "the sexual advances of Spears were unwanted for a variety of reasons."

"Spears had obnoxious personal habits, such as chain smoking cigarettes, which made her smell continually of stale tobacco," he wrote in his court document.

She broke wind or picked her nose unselfconsciously and unapologetically before Plaintiff (Flores) and others and she was constantly and gratuitously loud and profane in her speech.

"She did not bathe for days on end, did not use deodorant, did not brush her teeth, did not fix her hair, did not wear shoes or socks."

According to Flores, he suffered psychological damage, anxiety attacks, depression and insomnia as a result of Britney's alleged harassment.

To us, we're not sure what bringing up those specifics is really trying to prove. Unless he's trying to be adamant as to why he never wanted the alleged advances.

But that's not all. He claims she was doing drugs, too:

"Based on his former experience as a police officer, Plaintiff (Flores) is informed and believes and alleged thereon that Defendant Spears was often under the influence of illegal prescription and non-prescription drugs, such as Ritalin, Narcon (Naloxone) and methamphetamines," the documents state.

Wow.

It's hard to take such allegations so seriously without concrete proof, because it is NOT uncommon for people to try and take advantage of another person's fame. Especially for the tune of at least $10 million dollars.

We have a feeling that this is about to get extremely intense before anything is resolved!

Just a little after midnight early Sunday morning, Casey Anthony was released from jail.

She and her lawyer Jose Baez were greeted by hundreds of protestors who boooed her with some yelling out "Baby killer."

Serving a three year sentence in the Orange, Florida jail, she was given $537.68, the remaining money in her inmate account, and was escorted in an SUV to an undisclosed location.

Angelina Jolie and her daughters Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel arrived here in SoCal last night at LAX Airport and were greeted by a throng of eager photogs. It’s been a while since we’ve seen photos of the Jolie-Pitt kids up close so I was happily surprised to see that Shiloh is losing her baby teeth already. There aren’t very many things cuter than a little kid with missing front teeth … and, to be honest, there aren’t many kids cuter than Shiloh with a missing front tooth.

Shiloh is a DOLL! She looks so rad in her Rolling Stones t-shirt and Michael Jackson-like military jacket. I cannot believe how big she and sister Zahara have grown! The Jolie-Pitt kids are growing so quickly … the twins, Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon just turned 3 years old on Tuesday! So big, so fast. I hope that Ange and the girls will be staying in town for a while … it’ll be nice to see them around town.

Check out the new music video for the Cults' single Go Outside, off of the band's debut, self titled album, which features actual video footage taken from the famous religious cult led by Jim Jones, Peoples Temple, before the Jonestown Massacre.

According to a statement from director Isaiah Seret:

To tell the story of Cults' hauntingly beautiful track, "Go Outside", I was inspired to bring the band inside the world of Jim Jones' famous religious cult, Peoples Temple, and the eventual tragedy in Jonestown. Fortunately, when exploring the feasibility of this video I became acquainted with Fielding M. McGehee III, an expert on Peoples Temple history and the primary researcher for the Jonestown Archive. It is thanks to him and his encouragement that I was able to take on this project and through his support gained access to over two and half hours of home videos showing Peoples Temple in Jonestown. For this music video we didn't want to put a spin on the footage or the peoples lives—instead we wanted to re-tell and humanize their story. In order to achieve this we used a combination of stock footage, visual effects and other tricks to embed the band into the historical footage. This was achieved through my collaboration with my visual effects supervisor Bill Gillman and my cinematographer Matthew Lloyd. Lastly, I am moved to say when we completed the video we were able to preview it for some of the survivors of the Jonestown Massacre, who expressed their appreciation of our focus on the lives of the People's Temple members as opposed to exploiting the graphic images of the final tragedy.
