Put Some Order in Your Guitar Effects Chain

There's no denying that Latin music has been one of the most popular genres in the country. Ever since its development decades ago, it has fused with many other forms to reinvent itself. The definition has spread from its humble beginnings in the dances of Central and South America to include many of the sub genres that can be found in many US metropolitan cities.

On the Interwebs, are bunnies cuter than kitties? Snooki gets some Italian booty in Florence. It’s tough living being a mutant. NKOTBSB are back again. Do not anger your barber. Florence + the Machine does Day of the Dead in their new video. Sugababes celebrate their Freedom. Charlize Theron strips down for Dior. Hurray! It’s [...]

David and I went to an early evening showing of X-Men: First Class, which opened in theaters yesterday, and for the most part we really looking forward to a great movie. What we got was an even better movie than either of us anticipated. Before yesterday, Thor was my fave superhero movie of the moment … but X-Men: First Class has absolutely become not only my fave superhero film of the year but probably my fave movie of the year (thus far) period. It’s really that good.

To be honest, I can’t even decide what makes the movie so good … the acting or the writing. X-Men: First Class is full of fantastic actors who truly become the roles they are playing. Never once did I think anyone was phoning it in or being disingenuous (not even January Jones who, as the chilly Emma Frost, may come off as lifeless but, IMHO, adds to the stoic character). Without question, the chemistry between James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender is SUPERB! There was so much emotion going back and forth between those two (as Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr) that I have expected them to hug and/or kiss in almost every scene. Kevin Bacon, as the villainous Sebastian Shaw, was a real surprise. I’ve known that he can play evil very well … and that talent really shows well in this film. As for the writing, I mean, damn … they did a great job bringing the origins of the X-Men to life. Tying in actual historical events with comic book fiction is genius! Did you know the entire Cuban Missile Crisis was brought about by interference by rogue mutants? Well, in the 1960′s world of X-Men: First Class … they did! I was also very impressed with the origin stories of some of the X-Men. My only complaint is that I wish they had explained Raven Darkholme/Mystique‘s origins better than her just showing up one day. There are a couple of really fun cameos (that could be easily spoiled, so don’t go looking for them online if you want to be surprised). My biggest complaint about the film was the FX … some of the scenes looked really cheap. My guess is that the studio didn’t give the film a massive budget and corners had to be cut. Still, the acting and storytelling more than made up for the film’s shortcomings. I honestly loved everything about this film. As soon as it was over, I wanted to watch it all over again. Hands down, X-Men: First Class is the best X-Men movie ever made. It really has a good shot at being the best superhero film of the year. From start to finish, First Class is a fun ride. I really love, love, loved this movie.

Cheap Acoustic Guitar

Many venues have gardens and terraces where guests can mingle during an event. This is a lovely way (weather permitting!) that guests can enjoy the venue, as there is more space to mingle. Unfortunately, through the grapevine, we have heard stories of musicians refusing to play at particular locations or in certain weather. I know why, and I will share my experience with you.

Jennifer Lopez Hits Road With Hubby For New Show

Called ¡Q’Viva! The Chosen, Lopez’s new show will follow her and Marc Anthony around the Western Hemisphere as they search for international talent. Sounds big, doesn’t it? It’s one thing to show up at an arena and sift through hundreds of singers. It’s quite another to travel to over twenty different countries to find, as they put it, the “world’s most extraordinary talent.” That’s exactly what the celebrity couple plans to do, and it will all be broadcast in three different languages all across the Americas. This isn’t just an audition based show, either. Backed by Simon Fuller, they actually plan to literally show up in cities and towns and have the residents bring them to the most talented people around. Lopez says that will include trips to “clubs, bars, dance studios, underground dance halls and festivals” in the various locations they travel to. Once they are all rounded up, the best of the best will be brought back to California and polished up for a huge show. I’m not sure I’ve even heard of a television project with a loftier sounding premise. It is certainly a risk, but I think they can pull it off. They will have the [...]

Building of a Statue

If you are apprehensive about producing paintings, then you should learn how to love art supplies. Achieving appreciation of art materials is possible when you take the time to observe art that is already around you because this will help you understand your very own artistic interests and inclinations. It is easy to overlook art that surrounds us but to truly develop an interest in the subject; you must get into the habit of using your free time to study paintings that you may have hanging up at home or around the work place.

Want to Learn the Flute? Here Are Things to Consider

In my opinion, and I stress it is only an opinion, with If You Want Blood You Got It and Live at Donington, AC/DC have contributed two of greatest live albums ever released. I rarely listen to their studio work anymore as I find myself gravitating toward their live output, attracted as I am by the sheer rawness of the music and the energy that is blatantly apparent from the salivating hordes in the crowd.

tupac is alive jk

We always knew that if Tupac was still alive, he'd end up in New Zealand. Ha!

Okay, so Tupac's not ACTUALLY alive, but some hackers cracked PBS' website yesterday morning and posted a fake story about the late rapper on the PBS NewsHour section of the site.

Apparently, the group of hackers called LulzSec were upset about a recent Frontline program about WikiLeaks, and put up the Tupac story to get back at PBS.

Here's what Frontline executive producer David Fanning had to say about the program in question:

"From our point of view, we just see it as a disappointing and irresponsible act, especially since we have been very open to publishing criticism of the film…and the film included other points of view. This kind of action is irresponsible and chilling."

Guess these hackers have REALLY strong feelings about WikiLeaks!

Do U think a fake Tupac story was a good way for this hacker group to get back at PBS for their Frontline program???

jennifer-lopez-ex-husband-allowed-to-release-footage.jpg

Jennifer Lopez is not going to be happy about this.

A judge has allowed her ex-husband Ojani Noa to release intimate home videos of her to the public.

Even though Jennifer's legal team had originally won a battle to keep the videos from being release, Ojani found a loophole to win in the end. By selling the footage to his current girlfriend, Claudia Vazquez, the judge ruled the confidentiality agreement that Ojani signed could not block this release.

Claudia is said to be "meeting with video distributors" next week to make a deal.

There haven't been specific details about what exactly is on those tapes, but Jennifer is fighting to keep them private so there's obviously something on there she doesn't want people to see.

What a shady, shady guy.

Choosing Music for Your Event

When you want to build a great party playlist, you want to make sure that you use BPM to create "waves" of music that help excite and enchant your partiers. If you follow this advice, your partiers will slowly be building up their energy levels and depending on how many songs you have, and how long the party is, you'll end up with a super energized crowd by the end of the night, not wanting to go home and wanting to keep going and building more and more energy and fun.

First Look: The First Video Trailer For ‘The Avengers’ Leaks To The Internets

The first trailer for next Summer’s blockbuster superhero film The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, has mysteriously leaked its way online. The TomKat family — Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri — spent part of their weekend in South Beach, FL chillin’ out by the pool together. As you can see from the photos below, daddy Tom spent some time teaching his TomKitten how to swim while mama Katie lounged near the pool. It looks like the fam had a blast soaking up the sun together as they relaxed on holiday.

As much grief as I like to give Tom, Katie and Suri, I’m happy to see them looking so happy. The family may have started out under very strange circumstances but they seem to have weathered the controversy just fine and have settled into a life of normalcy. I’m actually relieved that Tom isn’t spouting his craziness in public anymore (tho, he did provide amazing fodder for the blog over the years) because now I can go back to liking him again. Is that wrong? In any event, these photos of the TomKat family chillin’ out at the pool are just cute. While I’m still not 100% convinced that Suri isn’t a robot, I will say she makes a very cute little cyborg-like alien child … who is, apparently, waterproof. So darling!

The first thing you need to do is to understand the different markets for art and where your artwork fits into those markets. The markets for fine art can range from commercial galleries, sales to corporations, art fairs, interior designers, private sales, private and public commissions, the sale of reproduction rights and many more venues. Each of these venues has multiple sub-categories that need to be considered before you submit your work.

Piano Lesson How to Play a Piano, Step By Step

I've been a fan of all types of classical music since...I was born, I suppose. Movie Review: ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’

As I mentioned earlier, I was able to attend an early screening of Captain America: The First Avenger — which doesn’t hit theaters until this Friday. From the very start, I have voiced my concern for this film because I was worried that the movie (albeit a comic book movie) would not look believable. After [...]

Last night David and I were invited to an early screening of Captain America: The First Avenger at The Grove here in LA and, as you can see from the photo below, I really got into the spirit of the evening. David and I met up with our friends Gillian and Tim who also attended the screening. My full review of the film is forthcoming but I can tell you right now … I loved Captain America entirely! For some reason, I thought it would be fun to wear a Captain America mask to the screening … in retrospect, I’m not sure it was the best idea.

While I think I rocked the Captain America shirt very well … the helmet is another story. LOL!! Ah well … ’twas fun.

Farrah Abraham Cast in Charlie’s Angles TV Series

People brace yourselves, Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham, is reportedly going to be on TV for yet another show. According to her Twitter she has been cast in ABC’s new Charlie’s Angels. So I am not sure what to think here. I just ca’nt picture her on the show. I wonder if she is going to be an extra? I heard over 1500 people auditioned for a few seconds on TV. Could she have been one of them? It is possible. Poor thing thought she was going to be in a flippin’ movie, so your guess is as good as mine. She tweeted, “YAY!!! I MET GREAT people at a casting. & im going to be in the New Charlie Angels movie! US Magazine reports that the network confirmed that Abraham applied for a spot, but did not divulge any info if she was cast, and if so, for what part. Hey, at least it is a paid extra role. I am assuming that is what it is cause IMDB has no information on her and the open casting call took place Sunday near Abraham’s Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. home. How to Steer clear of Overspending and Shopping

It's important that you plan your finance well if you want to make certain you have enough money for your retirement. Indeed you'll not want to do away with your existing standard of living even though you cease working. The good news is there are several good financial management techniques that exist and which will enable you to earn some savings for the future. The great thing is that there are articles for instance impot de solidarite sur la fortune and banque et credit that are available on the net and might be interesting for you to take a glance. Are you able to imagine how life will be if you could save adequate money and appreciate some vacations for instance Sejour luxe inside your old days? I have attached an article related to financial planning below and that may contain tips about saving money.
You may think you're earning much less whenever you understand in the end of the month that you simply no longer have cash to invest on the things you would like. Sadly, you have invested all your earnings no thanks to a little plastic card that provides you the continuous urge to splurge any time without hard cash. But in reality, you have sufficient money to get by if only you werent a slave to these poor routines of overspending and purchasing. You werent born with these bad routines currently embedded inside your veins. The great news is that overspending and shopping addictions may be discovered and as soon as you learn them there will be no turning back again till there is no lengthier something left in the finish of every pay cycle.Research conducted by Stanford University in 2002 exhibits that no much less than 60 million people (People in america) are categorized as shopping addicts or compulsive shoppers. The number may have gotten higher over the many years considering the rise of substantial rise malls in America and all over the world. The bad news for shopaholics: the poor habit of shopping and overspending can be cured in no time at all with these ideas and sensible guidelines:1. Initial, there is a have to self-evaluate and determine if these poor routines are present. You'll know you have the tendency to overspend (in the event you dont already) and also to shop if you: Give way to spur of the moment shopping regardless of what the price. Little or no savings at all (and if there's a small amount left it is becoming eyed for an additional purchase. Turns to purchasing when depressed. More than half from the month-to-month wage is invested for financial debt payments (especially charge cards). Pleasure purchasing (buying products that arent truly essential). Becomes upset or depressed when prohibited to purchase some thing (includes self-prohibition).two. As soon as the existence of these bad routines is confirmed, then the next stage would be to find methods to reduce and even quit them from totally ruining your life and finances. Amongst the very best ways to steer clear of overspending are: Avoid owning much more than one credit card. If there are many then bring only one card when going out and this should be the card with the smallest credit score restrict. Better however, dont deliver the bank card whatsoever so the urge to splurge will be discouraged. Some individuals conceal their cards to ensure that by the time they discover the card the urge has passed.
Use charge cards for necessary expenses like meals and groceries, medicines and surprising (but essential expenses).
Make it a habit to purchase using cash. Even though the US is turning into a cashless society, it's still smart to deliver money to monitor expenses. Make a listing of things to purchase and go directly to the aisles where these products can be found. Navigating as well far away from the meant products may be another investing pressure. Avoid window shopping. Avoid the urge to purchase just because the products is on sale. Set up a budget and stick to it.three. Self-Reward. It's tough to maintain to a spending budget but when this is accomplished then it is best to reward yourself not with shopping but with the small pleasures of existence like a sauna or perhaps a relaxing book.
4. Consider up a hobby. Most often than not, individuals who get mall-crazy are those who get so bored at house they discover the mall an attractive place. Finding a hobby that will keep you interested and busy will minimize mall visits and therefore, reduce investing. The hobby can also be the start of a long term company venture that can help you earn more.5. Join groups that cater to purchasing and investing addicts. If there is an Alcoholics Anonymous, there is also Debtors Anonymous along with other similar groups that may serve as being a support group for people with spending issues. It isnt simple to completely eliminate overspending and purchasing addictions because they are poor routines which have been discovered over time. Nevertheless, a determined individual who desires to be reformed and to be monetarily stable within the long term wont have a hard time coping using the every day challenges of studying how you can spend cash wisely.
